Pastoral Care

CHURCH  PASTORAL CARE TEAM

This is made up of members of the congregation who have volunteered to visit anyone who needs help.  The team meets regularly to support each other, but do not ‘cold call’. They visit only those who ask for help, or have been referred by friends or neighbours to the team, having first obtained their consent.

PASTORAL CARE IN HOSPITALS AND NURSING HOMES

Referrals can be made to the Chaplaincy Team covering the Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals, if patients so desire.

Weekly visits are made to the Winchcombe Unit at Cleeve Hill, and Holy Communion is taken there each Sunday.  Holy Communion is also celebrated twice a month in the Cleeve Hill Nursing Home.

A Communion Service is held on the first Friday in the month at Langley Close.

Arrangements can often be made for individuals elsewhere, and Home Communion is regularly provided on the fourth Wednesday of the month.
