Winchcombe Parish

St Michael's, Stanley Pontlarge

St. Michael's is situated in the small hamlet of Stanley Pontlarge, about three miles north of Winchcombe. An early medieval foundation, its original name (its 'dedication') is lost in the mists of time, and it has been recently rededicated to St. Michael. We meet on two or three Sundays each month for worship, mostly from the 1662 Book of Common Prayer.

Usual Service Times

Most of our services are taken from the 1662 'Book of Common Prayer'.

1st Sunday 9.15 am Holy Communion
2nd Sunday no service
3rd Sunday 9.15 am Holy Communion
4th Sunday no service
5th Sunday various (see below)

Other services (in contemporary language) are held every Sunday at ChristChurch Gretton, just half-a-mile east of Stanley Pontlarge.
